Tag/Day 5.2 auf der/on NORWEGIAN JADE in Kusadasi, Turkey

Ganz grob und stark vereinfacht: 13 Schiffe x 1.000 Crew-Mitglieder = 13.000 Crew-Mitglieder. Einfach gerechnet: immer einer an Bord und einer zu Hause. So grob 26.000 Crew-Mitarbeiter. Mit vielen sind wir auf Facebook befreundet. Riskiert man die vielen Freunde zu verlieren, weil einmal einer etwas falsches gesagt hat? Es wäre schade, weil die 25.999 Crew-Mitglieder ihren "Arsch aufreißen" und einer von denen ist Mahmut Atar, den wir seit vielen vielen Jahren kennen: Seit unserer Fahrt auf der NORWEGIAN JADE 2009. So sind Frances, Eddie, Bruno und ich Gast zum Mittagessen mit seiner Familie, um seine Frau, seine Tochter und seine Verwandten aus Österreich kennenzulernen, die gerade hier im Urlaub sind. Wir haben uns daher direkt ins Restaurant Antepli Et Lokantasi fahren lassen. Ist nördlich der Promenade. Ein schöner Spaziergang oder eine kurze Taxifahrt. Es ist auf jeden Fall sehr lecker und wir haben auch eher den Eindruck, dass Lasagne und Hamburger auf der Karte fehlen und mehr für den türkischen Gast gemacht ist.



Very rough and extremely simplified: 13 ships x 1,000 crew members = 13,000 crew-members. Easyly calculated: one is onboard and one is at home. So roughly 26,000 crew members. With many of them we are friends on Facebook. Would you risk to loose all the many friends because one said something wrong? It would be sad because 25,999 crew members walked an extra mile and one of them is Mahmut Atar whom we knew from many years: since our voyage on NORWEGIAN JADE 2009. So Frances, Eddie, Bruno and me were guests of a family's lunch and made acquaintance of his wife, his daughter and his relatives from Austria who were here for vacation. We got a ride to meet them directly in the restaurant Antepli Et Lokantasi. Was at the Northern part of the promenade. A nice walk or a short taxi ride. It was anyway very yummy and we had the impression that Lasagne and Hamburger were missing on the menu and it was made more for Turkish guests.

We were any very happy to receive the invitation and to have the lunch.



Wir haben uns auf jeden Fall sehr über die Essenseinladung und das Essen haben wir uns sehr gefreut.

Aber, dass wir einfach in das Familientreffen integriert wurden, war eine besondere Ehre für uns. Ich denke immer an Holland America, wenn sie den Gast mit dem meisten Punkten besonders ehren. Aber diese Ehre hier bedeutet mir persönlich mehr.



But the fact that we were simply integrated into their family meeting was very special honor for us. I always think of Holland America when they honor the guests with the most points. But this honour meant much more to me.

Let us what would happen if Norwegian see these pictures. Maybe they will sell having lunch with Mahmut as special tour. If there were no more hosted tables then something like that would be an option.



Mal gucken, wenn Norwegian diese Bilder sieht, ob sie das Mittagessen mit Mahmut als besonderen Ausflug vermarktet. Wenn es schon den Hosted Table nicht mehr gibt, dann eben so etwas.

Frances, Eddie, Bruno und ich fahren ein wenig früher zurück, um Mahmut auch die Gelegenheit zu geben, ein wenig ungestörte Zeit mit seiner Familie zu verbringen. So lassen wir uns vor dem Hafen absetzen, um noch Bilder von der NORWEGIAN JADE zu machen.



Frances, Eddie, Bruno and I went a little earlier back to allow Mahmut had some privacy time with his family. So we got a lift in front of the port to make some more pictures of NORWEGIAN JADE.

Und weil ja MEINE NORWEGIAN JADE 2015 Europa verlässt und man mir dafür mir meine verhasste NORWEGIAN EPIC in Europa belässt, muss ich noch ein paar Selfies mit MEINER NORWEGIAN JADE machen.



And because MY NORWEGIAN JADE will leave Europe 2015 and they will leave me the most hated NORWEGIAN EPIC here in Europe I need to take some more selfies with MY NORWEGIAN JADE.







Wir laufen noch ein wenig durch das Hafengebiet.



We were walking a little longer through the port area.

The weather was simply too nice to get now back onboard although it would be nice there too.



Das Wetter ist einfach zu schön, um jetzt schon an Bord zu gehen, obwohl es auch an Bord schön ist.





Güvercinada - waren wir bislang auch noch nie. Etwas für das nächste Mal.

Wir benötigen ein paar Euro.



We need to have few Euro.

Just opposite fo the Cruise Terminal there was an ATM of HSBC but a bad sursprise: they had only 100 EUR-bill in the ATM.



Direkt gegenüber vom Cruise Terminal ist der Geldautomat der HSBC, aber eine böse Überraschung: Es gibt nur 100 EUR-Scheine im Geldautomaten.

Auch gegenüber vom Cruise Terminal ist auch die Touristeninformation, falls man sich aus neutraler Quelle informieren möchte, was man alles unternehmen kann.



Also opposite of the Cruise Terminal there was also the Tourist information if you need a more neutral source to learn how you could spend your day.

We went in the port to have a cup of coffee. I was interested of that and it tasted like After Eight. We sat there to use the complimentary WiFi and many crew members too. Two crew members of RYNDAM tried to do too. We got notice that their money did not last for their preferred coffee speciality and they wanted to change their order for something their money lasted for. The crew on RYNDAM 2013 last year was so good to us that we said that will cover their bill and they should order what they wanted to order originally.



Wir gehen im Hafen noch einen Kaffee trinken. Das hat mich doch mal interessiert und schmeckte an Schluss wie After Eight. Wir sitzen hier, um nochmals das kostenlose WLAN zu nutzen und viele Crew-Mitglieder auch. Zwei Crew-Mitglieder von der RYNDAM wollen es auch tun. Wir bekommen mit, wie ihre Euro-Bestände nicht für ihre bevorzugte Kaffeespezialität nicht mehr reicht und sie etwas anderes bestellen wollen, wofür ihr Geld reicht. Auf der RYNDAM 2013 war die Crew letztes Jahr so gut zu uns, dass wir kurzerhand sagen, dass wir deren Rechnung übernehmen und sie sich das bestellen sollen, was sie ursprünglich wollten.

Zufällig entdecken wir dann noch Mahmuts Familie "hinter Gitter".

They escorted Mahmut back to the port and waited in the Café for teh set sail of NORWEGIAN JADE.



Sie hat Mahmut gerade zurück zum Hafen gebracht und wartet hier im Café auch auf die Abfahrt der NORWEGIAN JADE.

Schnell muss ich daher auch zurück und vom Balkon beobachte ich auch die Arbeiten mit unserem Auslauf.



So quickly I need to return and to observe from the balconies the work for our set sail.

To make it possible to take quickly some pictures I used the bike-riksha.



Damit ich am Pier noch schnell ein paar Bilder machen konnte, nutze ich das Fahrrad-Rikscha.

Es macht immer wieder Spaß, wenn man hier am Pier langfahren kann.



It was fun again to get here around at the pier.

This time we did not need to cut the cheese ourselves.



Und wir müssen dieses Mal den Käse nicht selbst schneiden!

Abends geht es zusammen wieder in Grand Pacific. Die neue Karte ist echt gut. Ich hatte manchmal schon Schwierigkeiten, was ich wählen sollte.



In the evening we went again to Grand Pacific. The new menu was really good. I had occasionally the problem to make the right selection.

And if you asked you could simply get a fruit plate which was not on the menu.



Und wenn man fragt, dann gibt es doch einen Früchteteller, der nicht auf der Speisekarte steht.

Kommen wir nur zu den Crew-Selfies: Mein erster Held heute: Jose Jurado, der noch vor der Öffnungszeit der Aloha Bar mich mit Getränken versorgt hat.

Was die in Hollywood bei der Oscar-Nacht können, können wir auch... nur weiß ich gar nicht, wer zum Teil auf den Bildern ist.



What they could do in Hollywood at the Oscar's night we could do too... But I had no idea who was on the pictures.

And some we noticed that the Captain was not on the picture and in the Dolby Theater there was no natural daylight. In the Spinnaker Lounge we had unfortunately natural daylight and too good weather.



Und irgendwie hatten wir gemerkt, dass der Kapitän gar nicht drauf war und im Dolby Theatre gab es kein Tageslicht. In der Spinnaker Lounge hatten wir leider Tageslicht und zu gutes Wetter.

Last not least David Butler, aber kein Butler, sondern Beverage Manager, den wir auch schon von unserer Reise NORWEGIAN JADE 2014 (1) Anfang des Jahres her kennen.
