Ich konnte die Nacht nicht schlafen, sicherlich vor Aufregung und vor allem wegen des Kaffees vom letzten Abend.

Gegen 06.00 Uhr fahre ich in den Hafen. Vor dem Hotel Verkehr wie auf der Reeperbahn und Herbertstraße in Hamburg. Dem Taxifahrer erkläre ich, dass ich wieder zur Brücke zu Mol Adossat will.



I could not sleep all the night - maybe I was excited but especially because of the last night's coffee.

Around 6 am I went to the port. In front of the hotel there is a circulation like in Hamburg's famous Red-Light- and Amusement-District Reeperbahn. I explained the driver that he should get me off on the Bridge of Mol Adossat.

Because this question always came from time to time: Yes - at 6 am there are enough taxis in front of the terminal.



Weil diese Frage immer wieder im Netz auftaucht: Ja um 06.00 Uhr morgens stehen genügend Taxis vor dem Terminal.

Auch für die VOYAGER OF THE SEAS, die zeitgleich im Hafen liegt.

Nach der NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS haben wir im Moment kein Bedürfnis, mit ihr zu fahren. Siehe https://heinbloed-minis.blogspot.com/2009/05/tag-1-auf-der-navigator-of-seas-in_8669.html. Eigentlich will ich noch hoch zum Miramar. Aber meine Batterien gehen aus. Der Taxifahrer setzt mich wieder im Hotel ab und er darf nicht auf mich warten. Taxen mit geraden Registrierungen dürfen am Wochenende an ungeraden Tagen nicht fahren. Gut zu wissen, dass nur 50% der Taxen am Wochenende zur Verfügung stehen, falls mal mehr Schiffe im Hafen sind.

Auf das Frühstück im Hotel verzichten wir. Wir sind noch voll von gestern Abend. Unser Gepäck lassen wir im Hotel. Auf dem Weg zur U-Bahn werde ich von einer Kreatur belästigt. Bevor er seine Hand an meinem Portemonnaie hat, schreie ich ihn an und er verschwindet.

Mit der T-10 Karte, die es derzeit (2009) für 7.70 EUR gibt kann man alle Verkehrsmittel innerhalb der Zone 1 (inkl. Flughafen) innerhalb Barcelonas benutzen. Im Gegensatz zu Einzelfahrkarten sind Umstiege zugelassen. Mehrere Personen können diese Karte zur selben Fahrt nutzen. Nur einer muss immer stehen bleiben und die anderen mit der Karte reinlassen.



After the great meal last night we did not want any breakfast. We left our bags in the hotel. On the way to the subway I was attacked by a whatever "creature". Before he can get his hands on my wallet I shouted out loudly and he disappeared.

We had a T-10 Ticket which is currently (2009) available for 7.70 EUR for all rides with all means of transport within Zone 1 (incl. airport) in Barcelona. Single tickets do not permit transfers. More than one person can use the ticket for the same journey. One must stay at the gate and let all others going through the ticket check.

At this time of the day we had the subway just for us alone.



Um diese Zeit haben wir die Metro fast für uns alleine.

Kurz vor 09.00 Uhr kommen wir an der Sagrada Familia an.

Currently I have Sagrada Familia just for me... The cashier boothes have not opened yet. Opposite the first buses arrived.



Noch habe ich die Sagrada Familia für mich alleine... Die Kassen sind noch nicht geöffnet. Gegenüber kommen die ersten Busse an.

Wir haben wieder über Telentrada die Tickets vorbestellt. So können wir direkt zu dem Informationsstand und müssen uns nicht an den Kassen anstellen und werden sofort über diesen Seiteneingang hineingelassen.

Die anderen ohne Karten müssen sich hier anstellen und hier gibt es auch Audio-Guides.

Für die weitere Fahrt nach oben, werden weitere 2,50 EUR verlangt, die man im Fahrstuhl zahlt. Da pro Fahrt nur etwa 6 Personen befördert werden...

Wer 120 Minuten warten will... Wir warten um diese Zeit ca. 8 Minuten.

And you should know that this access to the tower is limited per day.



Und man sollte einplanen, dass der Zugang nach oben befristet ist.

Während des Wartens findet hinter einer Trennwand ein Gottesdienst statt.



While we were waiting there was behind a moveable seperation wall a service.

Once I arrived above I found out that this was nothing for me. Nice view.



Oben stelle ich fest, dass das nichts für mich ist. Schöner Ausblick.

Aber sehr eng.



But very narrow.

I waited near the elevator while Bruno and my sister do more climbings.



Ich warte in der Nähe des Fahrstuhls während Bruno und meine Schwester noch weiter rauflaufen.

Leider kann ich nicht so runtergucken.



But I am unable to look downwards.

So I missed this view.



So verpasse ich diesen Anblick.

Deswegen schön, wenn einem Enge und Höhe nichts ausmachen.



Somehow for someone who has no problem with narrow and height: beautiful.

And depth.



Und Tiefe.

Ich bin froh, als ich festen Boden unter den Füßen erreiche und erfreue mich an den Kirchenfenstern.

Vending machines appear to me very strange in a church.

But if you stay longer you need some beverages to discover all details.



Getränkeautomaten in einer Kirche finde ich doch ungewöhnlich.

Aber wenn man länger hier verweilt, braucht man eben auch etwas zu trinken, um alle Details zu erfassen.

Es finden auch kleinere Themenausstellungen statt, wie z. B. Formen von Gaudi.

This time the round took us very close to the faces of the building.



Dieses Mal führt uns die Runde sehr nah unter die Fassade.

Es kommen immer mehr Gruppen.



More and more groups arrived.

In the basement there is a museum which has an audiodeo-show. 50 minutes past the hour there is the English show. Maybe it makes sense to interrupt the tour and watch the show. You will see a lot of details you might not discover yourself.



Im Museum im Keller gibt es eine Audio-Video-Show. Stündlich auf die Minute 50 findet sie in Englisch statt. Es wäre ggfls. sinnvoll die Tour mal abzubrechen und sich die Show anzugucken. Man entdeckt dann vieles, was man selbst nicht entdeckt hat.

Wir waren in der ersten Show um 09.50 Uhr... Und wer Katalanisch kann: alle Shows werden so untertitelt.

In the museum you find also interesting information on other buildings of Gaudi like Casa Batllo, which is next on our schedule. By the way it's an UNESCO World Culture Heritage like Sagrada Familia.



Im Museum finden sich schon Hinweise auf andere Werke von Gaudi, wie das Casa Batllo, das wir als nächstes besuchen. Übrigens UNESCO-Weltkultur-Erbe, wie die Sagrada Familia.

Mit der U-Bahn fahren wir bis Passeig de Gracia. Einer im Forum hat den Umstieg dort empfohlen.



We took the subway to Passeig de Gracia. One in the forum recommended to do transfers there.

If you need a transfer between the commuter trains and subway route 3 it's o.k. - It's o.k. as well if you need a transfer between subway routes 2 and 4. But with a lot of baggage you better do not transfer here.



Wenn man zwichschen S-Bahn und der U-Bahn Linie 3 umsteigt ist es o.k. und auch zwischen den U-Bahn-Linien 2 und 4. Wer aber viel Gepäck bei sich hat, sollte hier auf einen Umstieg verzichten.

Abgesehen von vielen Treppen...

Zum Casa Batllo geht es hier am Conseill de Cent hinaus.

But there are more Gaudi-Buildings to see.



Aber es stehen gleich mehrere Gaudi-Objekte zur Besichtigung zur Verfügung.

Im Preis ist eine Audio-Führung mit eingeschlossen. Ich hasse die Dinger jedoch.



An audio-guide is included in the admission fee. But I hate them.

I think the city planners should have avoid this.



Hätten hier die Stadtplaner eingreifen sollen.

Und wenn man auf dem Dach angekommen ist, dann kann man sich so fühlen, wie im Film "Auberge Espanol".

The courts are very exciting as well.



Spannend auch die ganzen Höfe.

Und mit dem Wetter haben wir sagenhaftes Glück.

Unten angekommen waren wir froh, dass wir unsere Tickets bereits vorher hatten und direkt rein konnten.

Aber auch hier gibt es viel zu gucken.

Oft werde ich den Unterschieden der unterschiedlichen Ho-Ho-Busgesellschaften gefragt. Abgesehen von den Routen. Der hier hat ein Faltdach...



Sometimes cruisers asked fo the difference of Ho-Ho-Buscompanies. Beside the routes. This one has a moveable roof...

... and this here not... what might be interesting if the weather is not as good as today.



... und der hier nicht, was vielleicht bei nicht ganz so gutem Wetter ein gutes Argument wäre.

Am Taxistand suchen wir uns einen SEAT ALTEA XL aus, weil wir ja mehr Gepäck haben, das wir noch im Hotel abholen. Eigentlich sollten wir das 1. Taxi nehmen. Aber mir gelingt die Situation mit meinen paar Brocken Spanisch zu erklären.

Unterwegs sehen wir die Ausflügler von der VOYAGER OF THE SEAS.



At a taxi stand we grabbed a SEAT ALTEA XL because we have more baggage to collect at the hotel. We should take the first taxi. But I was able to explain the situation with my few words Spanish.

On the way we see the passengers of VOYAGER OF THE SEAS.

We went via the Columbus Column as it is close to our hotel.



Wir fahren zur Columbus Säule, weil unser Hotel in der Nähe ist.

Nun sehe ich, warum mir die anderen Ho-Ho-Busse nie aufgefallen sind. Sie halten auf dieser Seite des Platzes. Und jeder der mit dem Portbus ankommt, sieht das natürlich nicht.

Wir sehen uns gleich am Kreuzfahrtterminal wieder.



But now I see what I never saw the other Ho-Ho-Bus around. They stop at the other side of the square. And anyone arriving by portbus does not see it.
