Die Warteschlange zum Latitudes-Treffen fängt an dem einen Zugang der Spinnaker-Lounge an und hört auf der anderen Seite auf.



The queue to the Latitudes-Meeting started at the one access to Spinnaker-Lounge and ended at the other.

Inside there were tables with prizes you can win.



Drinnen sind Tische mit Preisen aufgebaut.

Wie sich später herausstellt, mussten zum größten Teil wieder die Subunternehmer an Bord herhalten.



As you can see later: again the subcontractor had to sponsor the prizes.

The canapés look very familiar to us.



Die Canapés kommen uns schon sehr bekannt vor.

Da nur einmal wohl serviert wird, sollen wir uns schon mehr nehmen. Die Veranstaltung nutzen wir, um einen Cruise Reward zu kaufen und bekommen dafür einen neuen Lanyard.



As they only served one round we should take more than one. We used the chance to buy a cruise reward and to get a new lanyard.

We had lunch at Blue Lagoon Café. Wan-Tan-Soup I experienced on other ships much better.



Zum Mittagessen gehen wir ins Blue Lagoon Café. Die Wan-Tan-Suppe ist leider auf dem Schiff nicht die beste, die ich von meinen neun NCL-Schiffen kenne.

My noodles were nice but a little too spicy what you might remark later.



Meine Nudeln sind lecker, aber doch sehr scharf im Nachgang.

I like more the salty things and asked for some potato skins instead of a dessert.



Da ich ja eher für herzhaft bin, lasse ich mir nochmals ein paar Kartoffelschalen kommen statt eines Desserts.

Meine Schwester hatte einen Käsekuchen, der wohl auch nicht extrem süß war.



My sister had the cheese cake which was not extremely sweet.

I went in the afternoon to Bingo and use the first time an automated version: Four times I had the last number and four times the same group of players who share two Bingo-machines. I got the outfit for the Hot White Night and a Bingo T-Shirt and Lip-Balm. I won 3 USD and 20 tickets for the Saturday draw to win a cruise.



Ich gehe nachmittags zum Bingo und nehme zum ersten Mal so ein automatisches Teil: Viermal habe ich die letzte Zahl. Und viermal gewinnt witzigerweise dieselbe Spielergruppe, die sich zwei Lose teilen. Ich bekomme eine Federboa für die White Hot Nights und ein Bingo-T-Shirt und Lippenbalsam und gewinne 3 USD sowie 20 Lostickets für die Samstagsziehung für eine Kreuzfahrt.

Als ich wieder komme, stehen die Canapés schon bereit.

Die Canapés sind dieses Mal süß - leider.



The canapés were sweet this time... what a pity.

We went to Grand Pacific for dinner. Our platinum card did not protect us from estimated 15 to 20 minutes waittime. Luiza saw us and our waiting was reduced to the time of reading the menu from the top to the bottom and vice versa. We got a table next to the service station. I like them because of the stories there. But Luiza saw that another nice table at the aft window became vacant and suggested to move. But I did not want it... I want stories...

My scallops: I never knew that they were available so small... or is there somebody with forms to get more but smaller???? The rice tarte was very nice.



Zum Abendessen gehen wir zum Grand Pacific. Unsere Platinkarte bewahrt uns nicht vor geschätzten Wartezeit von 15 bis 20 Minuten. Luiza sieht uns und unsere Wartezeit reduziert sich auf die Zeit, um die Speisekarte einmal von oben nach unten und von unten nach oben zu lesen. Wir bekommen einen Tisch direkt neben der Servicestation. Ich mag sie, wegen der Stories, die da ablaufen. Auf einmal meint Luiza, dass sie uns den anderen Tisch in der Mitte des Hecks geben könnte, der gerade frei wird. Aber das will ich nicht: Ich will Stories...

Meine Jakobsmuscheln: wusste gar nicht, dass es sie so klein gibt... oder hat da einer mit einer Backform nachgeholfen, damit es für mehr Portionen reicht??? Die Reistorte ist lecker.

Mein kantonesischer Enten-Nudelsalat ist eine leichte Abwandlung von heute Mittag. Nur leider noch schärfer...



My Cantonese Duck-Noodle-Salad reminded me very much to my lunch. Just warm and more spicy than before.

"Meine Frau hatte den Fisch..." - wollte aber keinen mehr. So gibt es Hühnchen.



"My wife had the fish..." (see yesterday)... but did not want anymore... So he had chicken...

I did not like the options so I had steak again.



Mir hat nichts zugesagt und es gibt wieder Steak.

Brunos Dessert: Sorbet, allerdings nicht das, das auf der Karte stand. Ich nehme lieber nochmals die Jakobsmuscheln.



Bruno's dessert: but it was not the sorbet on the menu. I prefer to have some more scallops.

Obviously the Good-Night-Chocolate was withdrawn due to cost cuts. The day of embarkation there was none as well. But the towel dog.



Die Schokolade ist wohl abgeschafft. Auch am Tag nach der Einschiffung kommt nicht. Dafür ein Handtuchhund.

Wir gehen zur World Beat Show: Für uns ist oder obere linke Bereich reserviert.

Das kommt mir doch von der NORWEGIAN GEM von vor zwei Jahren bekannt vor.

Oh ich hasse White Hot Party-Night.

Der Cruise Director Andrew aus den USA: Ich merke, dass er von RCI kommt....

The Senior Officers were introduced.



Es werden die Senior Offiziere wieder vorgestellt.

Und dann so ein plumper Gag...



And then again a clownish gag...

This time from the other side.

As I was attacked with the Laser-Pointer and the Cruise Director had the unluck to sit just in the row in front of me I asked him to take care that they stop attacking me. He told me that taking pictures was forbidden. I direct him to the announcement that audio-, video- and FLASH photographing were forbidden and all the others were doing flash photography without beeing attacked and he was not doing anything. He is from RCI so he does not know how to tell NCL-guests the way something is forbidden. I ignored him for the rest of the night and developped a new strategy.



Dieses Mal die Perspektive von der anderen Seite.

Da ich mit dem Laserpointer wieder angegriffen werde und der Cruise Director das Pech hatte, sich schräg vor mich zu setzen, fordere ich ihn auf, dass er bitte dafür sorgen möge, dass ich nicht mehr angegriffen werde. Er weist mich auf das Fotografierverbot hin. Ich weise ihn auf seine Ansagen hin, dass Audio-, Video- und Blitzaufnahmen verboten seien und alle anderen Aufnahmen mit Blitz machen und er dagegen ja auch nichts unternimmt. Er ist von RCI und ist es wohl nicht so gewohnt, wie man NCL-Gästen klar macht, wenn etwas nicht erlaubt ist. Ich entwickele eine neue Strategie.

Vor zwei Jahren, sang ein weißer Totos "Africa"... So mit einem Afroamerikaner wirkt es glaubwürdiger. Ich bekomme wieder die Gänsehaut, wie vor zwei Jahren. Ich glaube aber trotztdem, dass ich es vor zwei Jahren besser fand.



Two years ago a white singer sang Toto's "Africa". So it came more seriously over if the black singer sings "Africa". I got a thin skin like two years before. But I had the impression it was better two years ago.

Again thin skin when she sang "You raise me up".



Auch bekomme ich wieder die Gänsehaus bei "You raise me up".

Ich liebe diese Show und genieße sie wirklich, da ich ja kaum fotografiere.



I love this show and enjoy it as I did not take further pictures.

As we returned our table reservation were waiting for us. And the next day then in Valletta.



Als wir wiederkommen, erwarten uns bereits unsere Tischreservierungen. Und morgen dann in Valletta.
