Am Piccadilly Circus steigen wir aus. Hier bin ich bestimmt ca. 35 Jahre nicht mehr gewesen.
We got off at Piccadilly Circus. I have not been there for about 35 years now.
You cannot drive around Cupid anymore...
Um Amor kann man nicht mehr herum fahren...Und die Leuchtreklame von damals ist auch nicht mehr so wie ich sie in Erinnerung habe.
The the illuminated advertising were not the same like then I have in my memories.
We went to Caffé Concerto to have a quick lunch.
Im Caffé Concerto gehen wir schnell etwas essen.
Hildon Water... I remember when I worked during my studies in Berlin's KaDeWe (Department Store) we had to take care of their inauguration of this brand in Germany...
Hildon Wasser... Damals im KaDeWe zu meiner Studentenzeit hatte ich die Markteinführung in Deutschland begleitet...

Mango Ice Cream, sweet and expensive (1 scope 4.50 GBP = 6.50 USD)... because it was too sweet I only had a half scope.
Mangoeis, süß und teuer (1 Kugel 4,50 GBP)... weil es aber zu süß ist, belasse ich es bei einer halben Kugel.
And Bruno was happy to had a real good Cappucino.
Und Bruno freut sich natürlich über seinen Cappucino.Frühjahrsputz...

Weiter geht es vom Piccadilly Curcusüber Waterloo... (wenn ich heute schon eines erlebt habe...)
via Waterloo... (which had my personal one already that day...)to London Bridge...

Here we went to The Shard.
Hier geht es zu The Shard.Die neueste Attraktion in London (2013).
The newest attraction in London.29.95 GBP (= 50.00 USD / 2013) if you have not booked at least 24 hours in advance on the internet). There the tickets were only 24.95 GBP (= 40.00 USD). And if everything was sold out you still can go for 100.00 GBP (= 150.00 USD) (2013).
29,95 GBP (2013), wenn man nicht min. 24 vorher im Internet gebucht hat. Dort kostet es bloß 24,95 GBP. Und wenn alles ausgebucht ist und man trotzdem hoch will: Für 100,00 GBP kommt man sofort hoch (2013).
Riding elevator was fun because something always happened at the ceiling.
Aufzugfahren macht Spaß, weil auf der Decke immer etwas passiert.Und vor allem alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Selbst in den wenigen Sekunden im Fahrstuhl wird man sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich in einen Small-Talk verwickelt.
Everyone where was most friendly. Even they had only a few seconds time in the elevator cabin they treat you very nice and had a small talk with you.
Everything was well explained at the 89th floor.
Im 89. Stock wird alles erklärt.Man kann aber auch bis zum 92. Stock hochlaufen.
But you can get up to the 92nd floor.A great view. Just in case you have an obstructed that day you can return with the same ticket again within a particular time.
Ein toller Ausblick. Wenn man dann ausgerechnet eine eingeschränkte Sicht hat, darf man mit dem selben Ticket nochmals innehalb einer bestimmten Zeit wiederkommen.
It was sad that you have no real open platform there. So you had always the mirroring on your pictures.
Schade bloß, dass es keine offene Aussichtsplattform gibt. Daher die Spiegelungen auf den Bildern.Die anderen Reisen in diesem Blog/
