Noch ein Tag auf See und ein schöner Sonnenaufgang...



Another day at sea and a beautiful sunrise...

My iPhone-App (Schiffsschaukel) which could seize the hight of the waves showed 1.0.



Meine Schiffsschaukel-App misst eine Stärke von 1.0.

D. h., wenn man nach vorne guckt: Horizont am unteren Rand der Brücke...



I. e., if you look to forward: Horizon at the lower edge of the bridge...

And then above... I forgot how to calculate this... Pythagoras... Sine/Cosine... Who has access to a drawn to scal deck plan and like to calculate: we had cabin 10606...



Und dann soweit darüber... Ich habe vergessen, wie man das berechnet... Pythagoras... Sinus/Cosinus... Wer also mit einem maßstäblichen Deckplan nachrechnen will: wir hatten Kabine 10606...

Heute Morgen gab es Proteste vom Personal, weil ich gerne das große Glas mit heißem Wasser gefüllt haben wollte, aber sie Angst hatten, dass es platzt.



This morning there were some complaints from the crew because I wanted to have the large glass of water filled with hot water but they were afraid that it might burst.

I did not want a full pot of hot water because one teabag was not enough for the teabag... Anyhow they stand by with a bucket just in case I would fill the hot tea into the glass of ice-cubes...



Eine ganze Kanne wollte ich aber auch nicht, weil dafür mein Teebeutel nicht reichte... Auf jeden Stand standen sie schon mit einem Wischeimer bereit, als ich meinen heißen Tee in das Glas Eiswürfel umfülle...

Bruno waren meine "Probleme" egal... Hauptsache er bekam seine Bodum-Kanne zurück und ein paar Erdbeeren. Und hinterher hat er mir erzählt, dass der Kellner sogar seine Bodum-Kanne reinigen wollte... allerdings war mir unklar, ob der Kellner dachte, dass Bruno die Bodum-Kanne geklaut war und deswegen zur Galley zurück sollte und weil er Bruno einen Gefallen tun wollte. Bruno hatte sich blöderweise seinen Namen nicht notiert und ich war schon voraus gelaufen.



Bruno did not gave my "problems" too much attention... as long as he got back his French Press and some strawberries. Later he told me that the waiter came and offered him to clean his French Press... but it was unclear to me if the waiter thought that Bruno stealed the French Press and wanted to return to the galley and wanted to Bruno a favour. Unfortunately Bruno did not note his name and I left already the restaurant.

I got my cold cut plate.



Ich bekam meine Aufschnittplatte.

Und auch eine frisch filetierte Orange.



And a freshly sliced orange.



Und mein Weizenmischbrot mit Kümmel, das an Bord Jewish Rye-Bread genannt wird (wobei Rye eigentlich Roggen ist, aber mir war es dafür viel zu hell...)



And my German style bread with caraway which they called Jewish Rye-Bread onboard.

I made it myself as nice as with Holland America and built myself a Uitsmijters... It was the Dutch breakfast: Fried eggs on ham and bread.



Ich mache es mir so schön, wie bei Holland America und baue mir mein Uitsmijters... oder auf Deutsch Strammer Max... (Servus Max Meier... du bist damit nicht gemeint...)

Immer noch folgt uns die COSTA DELIZIOSA, die wir mehrfach am Tag sehen.



Still COSTA DELIZIOSA followed us and we saw multiple times that day.





We saw Frances at Champagne Charlie's but wondering what she was doing there... According to the Freestyle Daily it should be "Cruise and Create Baby Freeplay"... Hmm...



Wir sahen Frances bei Champagne Charlie's, aber waren verwundert, was sie dort macht... Gemäß Tagesprogramm war es "Cruise and Create Baby Freeplay"... was immer das auch bedeuten mag...

Die Terrassen am Heck sind einfach wunderbar... ein echtes Schiffsgefühl.



The terraces at the aft are really wonderful... a true ship's feeling.



Jetzt sind die Schulferien vorbei und wenige Kinder an Bord: nun kann man den in Ruhe Kinderpool-Bereich renovieren.



Now since the vacation period is over and there were only few kids onboard you could take care of the kids' pool area.

Very nice for the parents: you sit in the jacuzzi and can guard your kids in a very relaxed way.



Äußerst praktisch: Mama und Papa können sich in den Whirlpool setzen und so die Kinder sehr schön entspannt beaufsichtigen.



We went again to have some coffee. It was sad that there were no more seats for paying guests. Many seats were blocked by non-consuming guests.



Wir gehen wieder Kaffeetrinken. Schade, dass es nicht mehr Plätze hier für zahlende Gäste gibt. Viele Plätze werden einfach durch Gäste blockiert, die nichts verzehren.

Auch ich will Kaffee, aber Eiskaffee...



Even I wanted some coffee but some ice coffee (German style - not iced coffee)...

But here onboard you get only the extreme versions.



Aber diese an Bord sind mir zu extrem.

Meinen Eltern gefällt es auch sehr gut an Bord.



My parents like it very much onboard.

It looks like that my father was really looking forward to everything...



Mein Vater scheint sich wirklich über die Reise zu freuen...

Wir ziehen uns in die Kabine zurück und genießen unseren Balkon.



We returned to our cabin and enjoyed our balcony.
