Tag/Day 1.3 auf der/on NORWEGIAN SPIRIT in Barcelona, Spain

Da wir ja sehr früh an Bord sind, gehen wir zum Raffles Court, dem SB-Restaurant auf Deck 12. Noch ist es leer.



As we were quite early on board we went to the Raffles Court, the self-service restaurant on deck 12. It was still quite now.

Sofort laufen Karl-Heinz und mein Vater auf den richtigen Stand zu. Mal gucken, wer später als Erster loslegt.

My mother found out that the buffet was not mirrored and you need to see portside and starboard to see the complete offer. She already found the Asian soup station.



Meine Mutter stellt fest, dass das Büffet nicht gespiegelt ist, und man doch beide Seiten an Back- und Steuerbord ablaufen muss, um das Gesamtangebot zu sehen. Sie hat den asiatischen Suppenstand schon gefunden.

Das muss ich natürlich auch haben. Und dieses Mal schmeckt die Suppe vom ersten Moment.



That was of course what I must have too. And that time the soup was very nice from the very first moment.

What for a coincidence... we met the first face which we know or know us (more or less):  Cherryl Geronimo. We met her husband Noel on NORWEGIAN SUN who told us that we will meet his wife here. As I always read the name tags I knew immediately who this person was. And she was most surprised when I asked her if she is Noel's wife.



Und was für ein Zufall... uns erwartet das erste Gesicht, das wir und uns (mehr oder minder kennt): Cherryl Geronimo. Auf der NORWEGIAN SUN haben wir ihren Mann Noel kennengelernt, der uns bereits sagte, dass wir seine Frau hier treffen würden. Da ich immer mir die Namensschilder durchlese, wusste ich sofort wer das war. Und sie war natürlich überrascht, als ich fragte, ob sie Noels Ehefrau ist.









Karl-Heinz hat gewonnen... Erster am Dessert-Büffet...

And then he achieves a score of 2:0 vs. my father... Somehow it might risky for my heritage...



Und legt sogar mit 2:0 gegen meinen Vater vorne... Er gefährdet meine Erbschaft...







I concentrated myself to the Indian buffet.



Ich halte mich lieber an das indische Büffet.

Und Käthe hat die Softeis-Maschine gefunden.



And Katie found the soft-ice-machine.

Restaurant-Hostess Maricar Bauan walked with one full set of restaurant menus through the self-service-restaurant and asked if any bookings of tables were necessary.



Restaurant-Hostess Maricar Bauan ist mit einem Satz Speisekarten durch das SB-Restaurant gelaufen und nachgefragt, ob man Reservierungen braucht.

Ich habe natürlich wegen eines 10-er Tisches nachgefragt und dann erfahren, dass ich ihn nicht unbedingt jederzeit haben kann. Aber 18.00 Uhr passte gut und sie hat für mich alles arrangiert und mir gesagt, dass ich einfach auf sie zukommen kann und sie würde mir schon die passende Tische beschaffen. Größer als 10 geht leider nicht, da sie dann 2 6er-Tische bauen würden.



Of course I asked for a table for a party of 10 and learned that you cannot get this table at any time. But 18.00 hrs fit perfectly and so she arranged everything for me and told that I could come and see her if I need any table I need. She would arrange it for me. Larger than 10 was not possible as you get then two tables for 6.



Und noch eine Überraschung... NORWEGIAN GEM 2009... Shridhar Dhuri. Auch heute an Bord gekommen. Er wusste ja noch, wie wir es mögen. Nun kann ja nichts mehr schief gehen, wenn man schon nach einer Stunde an Bord so viele nette Crew-Mitglieder trifft.



And another surprise... NORWEGIAN GEM 2009.. Shridhar Dhuri. Also get on the ship at the same day. He knew how we liked it. Now everything will become well if you meet in the first hour onboard so many nice crew-members.

18.30 hrs back on board... But the life drill was scheduled for the afternoon.



18.30 Uhr wieder an Bord... Bloß die Seenotrettungsübung findet bereits nachmittags statt.

Als wir das Terminal verlassen treffen wir auf marcookie (Marc und seine Mutter Holde).



When we left the terminal we met marcookie (Marc and his mother Holde) from a German cruisers' forum.

We took the T3 PortBus. But that day the bus ran like a collector i. e. before you get to the city you need to get to Terminal D.



Wir nehmen den Hafenbus (T3 PortBus). Allerdings fährt er heute als Sammler, d. h. er läuft dann noch Terminal D an bevor er in die Stadt fährt.

3,50 EUR für eine Rückfahrkarte (2013).
