Tag/Day 0.7 Pre-Cruise auf der/on NORWEGIAN SPIRIT in Barcelona, Spain

Die ursprüngliche Planung für den Tag mussten wir aufgeben. Flexibilitätstest für den Reiseleiter. So ging es zunächst einmal in die Stadt zurück mit der Metro 2 bis nach Passeig de Gracia.



We had to give up the original planning for the day. A small flexibility test for the tour guide. So we headed back to the city center and took Metro 2 to Passeig de Gracia.

So went again to FARGA... but this time to their Gran Via branch close to Placa de Catalunya. We do not recommend anything to our families and friends what we did not checked ourselves before and what we like to ensure that they have the same joy like we had.



Dort geht es schon wieder zu FARGA... aber dieses mal in ihrer Filiale an der Gran Via in der Nähe vom Placa de Catalunya. Unseren Familien und Freunden empfehlen wir nichts, was wir selbst schon für gut erachtet haben und müssen auch sicherstellen, dass es denen genauso gut gefällt.





Hier ist alles noch sehr viel größer als in der Filiale bei Lessesp.



Here everything is much larger than in their Lessesp branch.





We loved to see the surprising faces of our famlies and friends and so it's not major "victim" for us to see another time FARGA again... Just a question for the concious: better sweet...



Wir lieben es, das Staunen unserer Familien und Freunde zu sehen und opfern uns daher gerne, dass wir nochmals FARGA aufsuchen... Die Gewissensfrage: lieber süß...

Unser nächster Weg führte uns dann zur Columbussäule.



Our next way took us to the Columbus Column.













I wanted to do a harbor cruise (Las Golondrinas) at the later afternoon but we urgently need an activity which you can do while you were sitting. So only the harbor cruise was left over.



Ich wollte ja erst nachmittags auf die Hafenrundfahrt (Las Golondrinas), aber da wir eine Aktivität brauchten, die man sitzend machen kann, blieb bloß die Hafenrundfahrt.









Insgesamt habe die Fahrt dann zweimal gemacht: die Sonne stand mittags zu schlecht, um gute Bilder zu machen und COSTA MAGICA kam erst um 13.00 Uhr rein. Bei der 2. Runde gönnte ich mir erst mal quasi einen alkoholfreien Campari-Orange, was jedoch auf absolutes Unverständnis bei der Bedienung hinter der Theke stieß. So etwas macht man nur in Italien.



In total I made this tour that day twice: the sun was too bad at noon to make good pictures and COSTA MAGICA should arrive 13.00 hrs. When I went the 2nd round I need to have a more or less non-alcohol Campari-Orange. But the bar tender had no understanding for my request. Something you only do in Italy.





Bruno went after the 1st harbor cruise with his parents and Frances and Eddie to Park Güell. So I went to the city center to improve my communication situation. Outside it was 68F and they were ice-skating in this tent on Placa Catalunya.



Da Bruno nach der 1. Hafenrundfahrt seine Eltern und Frances und Eddie zum Park Güell führte, wollte ich in die Stadt, um meine Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten zu verbessern. Bei 20°C draußen, wird im Zelt auf der Placa Catalunya Schlittschuh gelaufen.



I tried to buy in three different stores an adapter for my SIM-cards. In the department store El Corte Ingles I need to get to the 9th floor. And it was start for the annual winter sales event. For something what costs 3.95 EUR I lost all my nerves and energy. But I could see that the offers were worth to see... But the queues in front of the registers were too long.



Ich hatte dann versucht in drei Geschäften einen Adapter für SIM-Karten zu kaufen. Im Kaufhaus El Corte Ingles musste ich dafür in den 9. Stock. Und es war der Beginn des Winterschlussverkaufs. Wegen eines Gegenstandes, der 3,95 EUR kostete, war hinterher mit den Nerven fertig. Allerdings hatte ich auch gesehen, dass sich die Angebote wirklich lohnten... Nur die Schlangen an den Kassen waren viel zu lang.



So I returned to Sants train station and checked the baggage storage... That's inflation... 5.60 EUR - even German Railways does not take to much...



So fahre ich zurück zum Bahnhof Sants und komme an der Gepäckaufbewahrung vorbei... Das nennt man Inflation... 5,60 EUR - soviel nimmt ja die Deutsche Bahn noch nicht einmal...

Interessant die Nachbarschaft, von unserem Hotel.



The neighbourhood of our hotel was quite interesting to see.

Finally discovered once arrived back at the hote: The part I bought in El Corte Ingles was totally brilliant. There were more than just one adaptor. There were also cutting aids and the pin for change a SIM-card with my iPhone which I never have with me. But also Orange was clever too: we cannot use our Mobile Router either.



Erst im Hotel dann entdeckt: Das Teil, was ich im El Corte Ingles gekauft habe, war richtig klasse. Er hatte mehrere Adapter und sogar eine Ausschneidehilfe sowie ein Nadel, um die SIM-Karte aus meinem iPhone zu entfernen und den ich stets nicht mithabe. Aber Orange war so schlau: auch unseren mobilen Router konnten wir nicht nutzen.

Um 15.00 Uhr wollte ich wieder an der Columbussäule sein, um die 2. Hafenrundfahrt zu machen. Nun müssten alle drei Kreuzfahrtschiffe da sein.



I need to be back at the Columbus Column at 15.00 hrs for the 2nd harbor cruise. Now all three cruise ships should be in port.

You just get off at Drassenes (Metro 3).



Ich fahre bis Drassenes (Metro 3).

Dort einfach den Schildern zum Hafen folgen.



Then just follow the sign to the port.



Schade, dass im Moment kein Musiker spielt. Die müssen hier in Barcelona durch ein Casting bevor sie hier spielen dürfen. Deswegen sind sie i. d. R. sehr gute Musiker.



So sad that there was no musician playing. Here in Barcelona they need to go through a casting before they get the permission to play here. So you normally meet here very good musicians.

Once you are up on La Rambla just walk towards the Columbus Column.



Oben einfach raus auf La Rambla und in Richtung Columbussäule laufen.

Nur nicht berghoch: da geht es zurück zum Placa Catalunya.



Not uphill: that's back to Placa Catalunya.

Only they moved the bus stop of the PortBus. A little bit more to the left if the sea is on your back side and you face La Rambla.



Nur die Haltestelle des Hafenbusses wurde verlegt. Sie ist jetzt ein Stückchen weiter links, wenn man das Meer im Rücken hat und auf La Rambla guckt.



Later I prefered to take the bus to Placa Espancy. You see more. And if you need to catch the Aerobus: you do not need walk the stairs down and up in the Metro.



Später nehme ich lieber den Bus, um zum Placa Espanya zu kommen. Man sieht mehr. Und wenn man zum Aerobus will, braucht man nicht mit der Metro die Treppen runter und wieder rauf.

D20 ist eine tolle Linie, die durch die Av. Parallel führt und mich fast zu Hotel zurückbringt.



D20 is a great line which took me through Av. Parallel and would take right close to my hotel.
