Als wir in Montserrat ankommen, sind wir zunächst nur sprachlos.



We were speechless once we arrived in Montserrat.

Man kann übrigens auch hier übernachten.

Etwas versteckt in der Buchhandlung ist die AV-Show. Zum Glück so gestaltet, dass alle sie verstehen.



Somehow hidden in the bookstore you find the AV-show. But it was created this way that everybody will understand everything.

After the AV-show there is a small exhibition. A model of Montserrat was placed there as well.



Nach der AV-Show geht es noch durch eine kleine Ausstellung. Ein Modell von Montserrat ist ebenfalls aufgebaut.

With mirrors facing to each other and so we can see ourselves in an endless number... Difficult for persons who stand me just once.



Und wir sehen uns in den gegenüberliegenden Spiegeln und unendlich Mal wieder. Schwierige Situation für alle, die mich nur einmal ertragen...

So bekommt man doch sehr viel von der Geschichte mit. Viele Schlagwörter sind auch in Deutsch dargestellt.

We were heading to St. Joan on an altitude of 3,182'. The ride is included in our tickets.



Wir fahren nun auf 970 m über NN nach S. Joan hoch. Die Fahrt ist im Preis inbegriffen.

Alle 20 Minuten geht es rauf und runter. Wenn man laufen will: in 50 Minuten ist man wieder unten. Aber oben sind es nur noch knapp 6°C, während es im Tag 12°C waren.



Every 20 minutes you can go up and down. If you like to walk: 50 minutes you need to get down. But above it was only 43F while it 54F in the valley.

The ride was quite impressive not just because of the glass ceiling.



Die Fahrt war sehr beeindruckend schon alleine wegen des Glasdaches.

Oben wird einem das Prinzip einer Standseilbahn erklärt.



On the top they explained how a funicular (cable car) works.

And so you see everything through the glass wall.



Und durch die Glaswand sieht man auch alles.

Und dann nur noch wow...



But there were more wow...









You cannot just see the natural landscape...



Man kann die Naturlandschaft nicht nur sehen...

sondern auch lernen, wie sie entstanden ist.



but also learn how it was made.

By the way the pictures of the mudslide were very impressive. Unbelieveable.



Übrigens sind die Bilder vom Murenabgang sehr beeindruckend. Kaum zu glauben.

Das war wirklich schön und für einen Augenblick verzieht sich ein Großteil des Nebels und etwas Blau guckt raus.



This was very nice and for a moment major part of the fog disappeared and something blue could be seen.

The nicest view you have from the terrace of the cable car station.
