Obwohl ich eigentlich das Schiff nicht mehr verlassen wollte, gehen wir nachmittags doch mal kurz auf den Pier, um zu fotografieren. Ich dachte bislang, dass es Gezeiten nur an der Nordsee gibt. Dass hier in Alexandria auf einmal die Brück so steil ist, fand ich doch sehr bemerkenswert.
Although I did not want to leave the ship anymore I went in the afternoon on the pier to take some pictures. I thought that you have tides only in the North Sea. I was sursprised how steep the bridge was.Although not so much time was left until set sail they offered us a taxi.

Vor dem Tor ist eine andere Welt.Käthe und Karl-Heinz waren wohl vormittags kurz draußen und haben nach einer Stunde Verfolgungsjagd aufgegeben und sind auf das Schiff zurückgekehrt.

Katzen haben eine besondere Bedeutung in Ägypten. Deswegen hocken sie überall.Wenigstens hier hat es die Crew besser als die Passagiere... ein kostenloser Shuttle zum City Centre (Carrefour). Ich hätte einfach Andrews T-Shirt anziehen sollen... Aber die haben sich mal diese Abwechslung verdient und wir haben ja das Geld, um ein Taxi zu bezahlen.

We used one more chance to take pictures of our ship. In the front you see the old taxis which were still in use.
